Ojai artist Robert Lamarche
has been making his home in California for over 20 years. His
illustration work -- computer generated and traditional media
-- have graced the pages of hundreds of magazines and books over
the years, while his sculptural work, both in paper and clay,
has been very well received by collectors and by the art community. |
"The human brain's tendency to think in terms of duality -- good vs evil, right vs wrong -- is really based on the physical structure of the organ, which is, after all, composed of two hemispheres. The usually less than successful neurological communications between the two dictate much of what we perceive as reality. We can vicariously escape this limitation by trying to reconcile the parts, through art, into a harmonious whole. We then become philosophers." Robert Lamarche *** |
"Je ne crois pas que le désir d'immortalité ait teinté d'arrogance le discours de l'Homme." |
